The Showboat Theatre

About Us

Originally built in 1934, the Showboat was named the Hermo Movie Theatre. In 1984, the building was donated to the community by the Dierberg family and was taken over as a community-owned and operated nonprofit organization. Today, it is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and advisory committee members. The Showboat strives to provide educational and engaging performing arts entertainment to the people of Hermann.
